ZS Horsetrucks was born from our own experience in the sport
From our stable Het Zilveren Spoor we work with sport horses every day, so we know exactly what is important during transport. Standard trucks often did not meet our expectations, so we decided to get to work ourselves. With a keen eye for detail, comfort and safety, we build our horse trucks entirely in Belgium. Practical for the rider, comfortable for the horse, stylish at all levels.

ZS Horsetrucks DNA
We strive for safe and comfortable transport, for both horse and user. Our trucks are built on a special Renault chassis platform that has been reinforced to support a customized structure. This robust base provides extra strength and stability in the horse compartment.
Thanks to the low ride height of the chassis, we can use a tailgate with minimal inclination. This results in an excellent center of gravity and thus a stable and balanced driving experience.
The vehicles are powered by a 2.3 litre DCI diesel engine, available with a six-speed manual transmission whether automatic transmission. Each truck comes standard with the Renault off-road and heavy-load assistance systems. Cruise control and GPS provide extra driving comfort. In addition, each truck has a camera system for the horse compartment and a rear view camera, both visible on a monitor in the cab. It active climate system guarantees optimal ventilation and comfort for both horse and driver.
The cab is fully lined for optimal sound attenuation and insulation. The three chairs are finished in diamond-stitched leather. Above the cab is a reinforced storage space of approximately 1800 liters, lockable with a net. The wall between the cab and the horse compartment — the so-called bulkhead — consists of reinforced, interlocking aluminium planks. These are fully covered with rubber mats that absorb shocks and are easy to clean.
The roof consists of one insulated composite panel that watertight is an excellent Soundproofing offers. Rain and ambient noise are greatly reduced, which contributes to the horse's peace of mind. A manually opened hatch has been incorporated into the roof.
The side panels are also isolated, waterproof and reinforces where necessary. Impact-absorbing rubber mats offer extra protection. Windows are seamlessly integrated into the panels and give the truck a stylish, sleek look. Each window has a metal protective grille and can be opened.
The floor consists of a specially developed panel structure that waterproof and rot-proof is. It is placed on the Renault platform and finished with a damping foam, topped with a non-slip rubber mat for extra safety and comfort.
The design of the horse compartment omits everything that could hurt or chafe the horse. All locks and fasteners are integrated into the frame, and the walls are completely smooth to minimize risks.
There is a double door in the back to approach the horses separately without disturbing the peace of both. This double access allows you to load or unload horses separately without disturbing the peace of both. The saddle room contains two benches with storage space, two saddle supports, two bridle hooks and two height storage shelves. You can also enter this room through a back door with a built-in window. All doors are wide enough to provide safe passage in emergency situations.
The sturdy, lightweight ramp is finished with a non-slip rubber mat. Inside the horse section, a so-called 'stallion' partition — consisting of aluminium tubes and a composite panel — ensures safe distribution. This partition can be fully opened to provide access to the second compartment, or placed sideways to fully open the space.
